LINE integration

Learn how to integrate LINE.

If you’re planning to reach your customers in Southeast Asia, especially Japan, Taiwan and Thailand, you should definitely communicate via LINE messenger where this app is the most used chat app.

Developed in 2011 in Japan, LINE has quickly become a very popular messaging platform in Asia, with more than 600 million users and around 200 million active daily users.

One of the keys of LINE’s stickiness is LINE stickers. That’s proved by the fact that every day more than 2.5 billion stickers are sent. Also, LINE has found a way to keep their users engaged by issuing the LINE game, which soon became its extremely popular feature. Using LINE as a channel you will definitely get close to your customers in a friendly and informal way, especially if you want to reach Millennials and Post-Millennials.

Signup for using LINE

The first step in engaging your users over Line is to sign up for Line by doing the following:

1. Download the LINE app and perform a signup.
2. Add an email inside the LINE app by going to Settings>Account>Email registration.
3. With email and password added in the previous step, you will gain access to LINE Business Center.

LINE account types

Line integration can be used with both the Line@ account and the Line Official account.

For opening a LINE Official account you need to submit a partnership proposal to LINE.

To get a Line@ account please follow the instructions below. If you do not have a Line@ account please follow the instructions here to open one using LINE Business Center. For existing Line@ accounts, you will need to enable API using LINE Business Center messaging based on the instructions here.
